FUCK YOU BARNEY FRANK, YOU PESTILENT PRIVILEGED FUCK:
You might also recall Barney Frank throwing the transgendered under the bus with ENDA last Congress. Now he's throwing everyqueerbody not plugged in to the Federal teat under the same bus to provide cover for Mr. Obama's "ha ha fuck you no" on DOMA. Gosh, Unca Frank, is it nice up there in the plantation house?
eta: Why doesn't a mandatory church fundraiser in the form of "second collection" for an anti-gay/anti-marriage campaign in Maine cause a church to lose tax-exempt status as a political organisation? Such silly questions.
Frank said in an interview Friday with the Blade that he's not a co-sponsor of the legislation because he has a "strategic difference" with people supporting the repeal legislation...Oh look, "full domestic partner benefits for federal employees." Like, oh, gosh, who? FUCK YOU HE'S GOT HIS. What a fucking toolbox.
"It's not anything that's achievable in the near term," he said. "I think getting [the Employment Non-Discrimination Act], a repeal of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell,' and full domestic partner benefits for federal employees will take up all of what we can do and maybe more in this Congress."

and THEN i have people (people whom i dislike, and wish would go the fuck away and leave me alone) ask my why i get "so" worked up over gay rights when i'm straight. totally missed all the BULLSHIT, and the POINT, and the fact that gay people are PEOPLE and are JUST AS IMPORTANT as "straight" people, and that the way things are right now is a TOTAL travesty, and...

Date: 2009-09-14 04:17 pm (UTC)I do wish somebody would truly stand up to those pious assholes in Rome who want to bring all of us back to the 17th century. I was raised in the Catholic Church and the current pope is a repellent fuck.
And as for Barney Frank; we might as well have Barney Rubble representing us. As you so aptly stated, Frank is another fag who's got his, so fuck everyone else.
I'm sick to death of all these people.

Date: 2009-09-14 05:41 pm (UTC)80 votes in the senate and. 80% of the representation in the house?
Republican approval ratings at 0%?
Seriously.
Or would they still think they couldn't do anything w/out alienating the town of Moronia, population 12, somewhere in the mountains of Idaho, where a possible conseravative backlash among the 12 republicans living there might trigger a nationwide crisis that could lead them to a tragic drop in national polls, and possibly cause rich conservatives who hate them anyway to cut back on the campaign contributions?
