This is a bit of a miscellanea post, everything else that I couldn’t wedge into parts one through five.

Denver Archdiocese sues Colorado over right to exclude LGBTQ people from universal preschool – yes, specifically kids. Remember, none of these anti-queer activists actually care about protecting children, and you can tell by the way they hurt them every time they can.

See previous: fuck your praxis, corporate ‘pride’ matters and we need it. If we lose it, it means they’ve successfully convinced companies not to deal with us because it’s too dangerous, and in this culture, that is a massive statement of power.

A Christian Crowdfunding Site Has a White-Power Problem – though since they bill themselves as the “Christian alternative to GoFundMe,” I genuinely doubt they consider it a problem.

From Boing Boing: If you’re wondering where Florida’s at now, it’s at “racial performance reviews for children.” The principal and a teacher at Bunnell Elementary School in Flagler County, Florida, are on leave after telling an assembly of the school’s Black fourth and fifth-grade students to improve their collective results. Not some Black children, not low-performing Black children; she dragged all the Black kids into an assembly, tore into them all as low-performers (when many, obviously, was not) and told them they were headed to jail.

I wrote to our governor and our states reps very early on in the Trump administration that in the event of a natural disaster, we’d be on our own – they’d absolutely block aid to us. Shortly thereafter, they tried to do something entirely like that to California, in response to fires there, but it was pushed through. Turns out Puerto Rico didn’t get so lucky, what with not having Congressional representation and all that.

Why you do not trust the New York Times on LGBT issues, ever. Particularly not on trans issues: “You Betrayed Us, Azeen” – wherein one of the families lied about by the NYT’s favourite discredited “whistleblower” talked to them, trying to correct the “whistleblower’s” lies, and got pretty well fucked for it.

Really disappointed in the EFF’s decision to issue a statement against this, because it’s literally a forum which exists to torture people and try to make them kill themselves, and the EFF are all up in “we can’t let companies decide what can be said online” and even I, who am very fucking aware of slippery slopes, am damn well aware that actively planning to stalk, harass, and harm people with actual intent to proceed isn’t protected speech, it’s conspiracy to commit a crime.
